Modeling RIS Empowered Outdoor-to-Indoor Communication in mmWave Cellular Networks

چکیده
With the increasing adoption of millimeter-waves (mmWave) over cellular networks, outdoor-to-indoor (O2I) communication has been one challenging research problems due to high penetration loss buildings. To address this, we investigate practicability utilizing reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) for assisting such O2I communication. We propose a new notion prefabricated RIS-empowered wall consisting large number chipless radio frequency identification (RFID) sensors. Each sensor maintains its own bank delay lines. These sensors which are built within building walls can potentially be controlled by main integrated circuit (IC) regulate phase impinging signals. evaluate our idea, develop thorough performance analysis RIS-based in mmWave network using stochastic-geometry tools blockage models. Vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication may provide high data rates to vehicles via millimeter-wave (mmWave) microcellular networks. This paper uses stochastic geometry to analyze the coverage of urban mmWave microcellular networks. Prior work used a pathloss model with a line-of-sight probability function based on randomly oriented buildings, to determine whether a link was line-of-sight...

Indoor air pollution associated with cooking and heating biomass fuel burning is estimated to be responsible for 7 million deaths in 2016 and most of these deaths occur in low and middle income countries. In Côte d'Ivoire, 73% of the population is reported using biomass (charcoal or wood) for cooking. The active device 3M EVM-7 was used to measure PM2.5 daily average concentrations i...

Geographic information systems traditionally dealt with only outdoor spaces. In recent years, indoor spatial information systems have started to attract attention partly due to the increasing use of receptor devices (e.g., RFID readers or wireless sensor networks) in both outdoor and indoor spaces. Applications that employ these devices are expected to span uniformly and supply seamless functio...
متن کاملStochastic geometry modeling and performance evaluation of mmWave cellular communications
Abstract— In this paper, a new mathematical framework to the analysis of millimeter wave cellular networks is introduced. Its peculiarity lies in considering realistic path-loss and blockage models, which are derived from experimental data recently reported in the literature. The path-loss model accounts for different distributions for line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight propagation conditions ...
